Back in the winter of 2002 my dad got TS1 + the Vacation EP from a family friend. I was immediately hooked and played for about 1 year and a half, maybe two… but eventually got frustrated by the fact that my sims never aged up! I thought I just had to play a household for long enough, but when I reached 200 in-game days and nothing happened, I uninstalled the game 😛
The TS2 came out, and it seemed perfect! Sims’ faces can be modified, instead of having to use presets! More than 4 camera angles! Wants and fears! Limited lifespans, so time actually matters!
Really makes me think about how big a leap TS2 was from TS1, gameplay-wise. Didn’t really feel the same for TS3 or 4.
10) Do you play with challenges? If so, which is your favourite?
I play my households by legacy-like rules, but they’re not super strict and I end up creating sim-specific challenges, like the fortune sim I mentioned earlier, selling robots in her run-down garage ‘till she got super rich, or my romance sim who wanted to reach level 10 on the Artist career track, so I made him only gain creativity points by painting pictures of his lovers.
Hmm… a tie between completing the 50 first dates LTW and completing a 100.000 simoleons LTW with the self-imposed restriction of only acquiring the money through a home business selling robots, with the owner as sole employee. So she made the robots (no servos), talked sims into buying them and rung up the customers, all by herself. New goal: keep everyone alive in a household of 7 sims, all sick with the flu, with the realdisease mod. I have no magical sims or comfort soup to help, either. Wish me luck!

… I took a pic of this guy the same day, and he was my favourite sim for a super long time! Had my selfsim marry him and everything!
24) Which of your sims is most like you and why?
Hmm… I don’t know if I really identify with my sims,, but if I had to pick someone, I’d say it’s this guy (seen here with his oh-so-done-with-his-shenanigans wife):
Science sim and a huge dork, wants to be a mad scientist, super friendly but shy and veeery socially awkward, very much in love with his SO… I’m neither married nor a vampire, though, so there’s that 😛

Anto Blackout Pookleted
An edit using Pooklet’s V.1 textures. Comes in Pooklet’s 18 naturals, the files are binned and elders get to keep their colours. Special thanks to @rented-space for fixing the mesh so it would fit the sim’s head better and reducing the polycount (now ~15k). Newsea Rough Sketch Dip-Dyed – now for males!
Comes in the same colours as the set I published for females a while back. The files are binned as custom, work for all ages and are compressorized. The mesh is included.

I had problems with pretty much all CoolSims hairs back when I had Intel graphics, they were simply too highpoly for my graphics to handle, maybe it’s similar issue here?
Yes, really high poly hairs are known to show up as bald on Macs.
Oh, wow, I really had no idea that could happen! I thought high poly meshes would just make the game slow down or straight up crash. Such a shame, most 3 or 4t2 conversions are pretty high poly, but the meshes are so nice…
Thank you very much for your kind words, and I hope it’s okay that I’m publishing this, @rebellinasmith. Since it’s happening with Martini’s original conversion as well, I’m assuming it’s some sort of mesh issue. But I don’t remember hearing about hair meshes being incompatible with Macs before, I thought only walls sometimes had that problem. So, I’m hoping other people can weigh in on this.
Has anyone else experienced a problem with Anto’s Electric hair not showing up in their game?

I used to feel irrationally panicked when I had to call people I didn’t know very well. Time (and the invention of mobile phones) made things much easier, but I still prefer texting. Chapstick or lipstick: I’ve used chapstick more often than I did lipstick, but don’t really like the texture of either.

A few more retextures I’ve been working on 🙂 As usual, the palette is Pooklet’s naturals, the files are binned and compressorized and the meshes are included. Elders get to keep their hair colours, but Pooklet’s two greys are included.
Anto’s hair also got an alpha edit to cover up a bald spot on top of the sim’s head. As the expertly-edited BS picture will show you, sometimes, all you need is a good comb-over.
