I wanted some pretty pastel hair recolours for my favourite sim and this was the result 🙂 They work for all ages and the mesh is included. I’ve blended a couple of colours from other creators, hence the unfamilliar names of the files. Credits: Newsea, Trapping, Io, Pooklet, Azaya (the purple-ish blue was obtained by following her instructions), Alfredaskew, Furbyq.
Tried to take a picture of my current favourite sim family. Group pictures have never been my forte, but godddamn, storytellers don’t get enough credit. I spent 2 hours on picking poses and one hour fixing the lighting on one sim in PS and the result is… meh.
Thankfully, the family’s 7 dogs are missing from the picture.
one thing i don’t miss about retexturing hairs is the super old ones with the mapping. XMS hairs were some of the worst, imo.
Yeah, those were a huge pain. I gave some older hairs a shot (one by Peggy, some by XMSims) and eventually gave up. Horrible mapping, textures that needed a lot of warping and blending, and random shadows on the mesh. Not fun.
There seems to be a rash of this going around… I’ve gotten a similar thing. Twice.
I’ve seen other simmers receive messages like these, but I didn’t think it was that common. It feels rude and kind of entitled 😦 One request or two, that’s reasonable, but who just assumes we’re just gonna spend all of our free time answering their tens of demands?
Now, I usually have no problem with requests, but dude. Dude. That’s 10 messages, one right after the other. 12 hairs, half of them being old meshes with dodgy mapping. Do you seriously not see anything wrong here?

Back in the winter of 2002 my dad got TS1 + the Vacation EP from a family friend. I was immediately hooked and played for about 1 year and a half, maybe two… but eventually got frustrated by the fact that my sims never aged up! I thought I just had to play a household for long enough, but when I reached 200 in-game days and nothing happened, I uninstalled the game 😛
The TS2 came out, and it seemed perfect! Sims’ faces can be modified, instead of having to use presets! More than 4 camera angles! Wants and fears! Limited lifespans, so time actually matters!
Really makes me think about how big a leap TS2 was from TS1, gameplay-wise. Didn’t really feel the same for TS3 or 4.
10) Do you play with challenges? If so, which is your favourite?
I play my households by legacy-like rules, but they’re not super strict and I end up creating sim-specific challenges, like the fortune sim I mentioned earlier, selling robots in her run-down garage ‘till she got super rich, or my romance sim who wanted to reach level 10 on the Artist career track, so I made him only gain creativity points by painting pictures of his lovers.
Hmm… a tie between completing the 50 first dates LTW and completing a 100.000 simoleons LTW with the self-imposed restriction of only acquiring the money through a home business selling robots, with the owner as sole employee. So she made the robots (no servos), talked sims into buying them and rung up the customers, all by herself. New goal: keep everyone alive in a household of 7 sims, all sick with the flu, with the realdisease mod. I have no magical sims or comfort soup to help, either. Wish me luck!

Hmm… I don’t know if I really identify with my sims,, but if I had to pick someone, I’d say it’s this guy (seen here with his oh-so-done-with-his-shenanigans wife):
Science sim and a huge dork, wants to be a mad scientist, super friendly but shy and veeery socially awkward, very much in love with his SO… I’m neither married nor a vampire, though, so there’s that 😛
