1. If you could be related to a celebrity, who would it be and why?
I have spent a lot of time trying to answer this, best I could come up with was “Maybe Patrick Wolf, then I’d at least have a chance to meet him in person. But then again I also find him really attractive and that makes everything horrible.”.

2. What was the last movie you saw? Did you like it?
That would be Insomnia, and yes, it was quite good! Some plot holes here and there, but good actors and good directing, so overall it gets a recommendation from me.

3. If you could work for any big corporation/company for a year, which one would you pick?
Got to be honest here, I don’t do corporate work and can’t see myself working in that field. An NGO, though… like maybe the Red Cross or Doctors without Borders… definitely something I’d consider. But I have to get better in my field before I can think of anything like that.

4.  Do you usually remember your dreams in the morning? Describe a recent one you had.
I do right when I wake up, but by the time I clear my head (which takes about 5 minutes) I can barely remember a thing. The last one I can remember anything about was complete nonsense, something about the Queen of England visiting my country and how me and some of my friends were going to see her. We got a building resembling a French chateau, but the only way to cross the front garden and get to the entrance was to go through a maze of yellow cloth tubes (???). I eventually made it out the maze, but woke up before I could get reunited with my friends or meet the queen. IDK, man, if anyone’s good with dream interpretation, here’s a challenge for you.

5. What was the last book that made you cry?
I can’t think of a single one that ever did, actually. Movies sometimes do, the worst offender is probably Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It gets worse with every viewing.

6. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Probably about 15. If the temperatures allow it, about 50% of the time I’ll be wearing the same cheap pair of sneakers until they fall apart. Then I just replace them with an identical pair.

7. List six favorite names (3 male, 3 female) that are typical for your country.
Male: Emil, Victor, Liviu
Female: Eva, Adelina, Elisabeta

8. How many photos do you currently have on your phone?
288, apparently. Most of them are just phone wallpapers I’ve downloaded. Another good chunk is made up of pictures of silly/downright stupid things I run across IRL. Looking through those makes my day better.

9. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 30 and copy the first two sentences. What would you think the book is about, if you were to judge only by the copied excerpt?
(Okay, so the book was in Romanian and has never been officially translated in English, not to my knowledge. The translation is mine, so it’s probably not great.)
Although I tried to struggle free from the mire of those bitter doubts, a force was opposing me, making me drown in anxiety and frustration. I could almost hear Emil’s voice, speaking to me in a whisper “I’m sorry, you know![…]” (Ilinca Bernea – Semnul lunii)
Hm… sounds like a love story, and Emil just betrayed someone with a very… tempestuous and sensitive personality.

10. A distant relative has just died and left you a fortune. What is the first thing you do with the money?
Donate. Most likely to a hospital? In my country, hospitals are severely underfunded. Like, sometimes they run out of basic supplies or medicine. And some of their equipment can be decades old. So… yeah. (But I’d ask for receipts for every goddamn thing. Because there’s no way I’m trusting them not to misappropriate the funds.)

11. If you could have any fantasy creature as a pet, which one would it be?
Do incubuses count? jk. A phoenix maybe? I imagine they’d be gorgeous. Something like a peacock or a bird of paradise… Though I’d love it even if it looked like a common sparrow.
